"I had personally met a young woman during my travels that was a prisoner to sex trafficking for 18 years, she was my inspiration for the two pieces that I finished back in October of last year."

Light at the End of Chestnut Lane​

​Quietude in Fripp

I was drawn to this green overgrown road while traveling in Ireland. I created this painting plein air and wanted to capture the feeling of the arching chestnut trees. I loved how the trees cast a green shadows across the road but the light shinned through right at the end of the lane.​

​This painting was inspired by an evening in Fripp Island, SC. My goal with “Quietude in Fripp” was to grasp the feeling of peaceful calm in the air. I wanted to capture the water and marshes and felt the dimming light added a stillness to the scene.
